A passionate for veterinary medicine runs in Deanna’s family. As the daughter to a veterinary assistant, she acted like a veterinarian to her household pets – and their stylist (as the only girl in the family Deanna often dressed up her childhood Golden Retriever). Deanna joined Butte Oroville in 2006 as a kennel assistant and has worked her way up and obtained numerous certifications and degrees to become a Registered Technician and our Practice Manager. In her free time, she enjoys lending her expertise as an instructor for a local veterinary assistant program and spending time with her husband and their four pets!
Emily has worked in the veterinary field for over seven years, but has been dedicated to helping animal since she was a child by helping stray animal find new homes and even adopting a few pets of her own. One cat, Skizex, joined her family when she was born and took bubble baths with her! Through her volunteer work and passion for animals, she pursued a degree in animal science from California State University, Chico. She has since spent time in both large and small animal practices and joined our team in July 2013. Outside of the office, Emily enjoys horseback riding, barbequing and volunteering at the Sacramento Zoo.
